Area calculation

Shadow Colour allows you to calculate the shadow area within selected sites.

To generate a shadow area calculation, please ensure the following:

  • The view is Top and orthographic/parallel projection.
  • The site is fully contained within the view.

Click on the Area Calculator icon and select the precision from the drop-down menu:

  • Quick – Generate a quick area calculation with less accuracy (about 1-2% inaccuracy)
  • Medium – Generate area calculation with more accuracy.
  • Max – Generate an area calculation with max precision. This process will take longer.
